You can ask AI to summarize David Deutsch's best ten lessons in thirty seconds and you'll forget them by tomorrow. You can skip a Spotify track after ten seconds and feel nothing. But sit with a record, place the needle yourself, wait for the muscles to grow over months of training, and something different happens. Passion is born out of effort times time. Without time there is no passion. Never. That's it.

Paul Veth Time is such an amazing tool. And most people have let it slip out of their lives without noticing. Everything instant, everything skippable. One minute on a song, then next, then next. No delayed gratification anywhere. I drove to Brussels just to watch a Nolan film on real IMAX. Stood in line. Waited. And before the movie even started, the whole crowd was already in a meditative state. Nobody planned it. Time just did that. Passion is born out of effort times time.
