Waarom begin je een podcast zonder studio, niet met een studio?
Paul Veth ziet het patroon steeds terugkomen: iemand koopt een betere microfoon, betere verlichting, misschien een studio of een greenscreen. Al snel gaat het om vijf-, tien-, soms twintigduizend euro aan apparatuur. En dan, op het moment dat de eerste opname moet beginnen, ontstaat er een onzichtbare koppeling in het hoofd. Beste apparatuur betekent automatisch dat de beste aflevering eruit moet komen. Die koppeling klopt niet, en juist daardoor komt die eerste opname er vaak nooit.

It begins in your kitchen. A wired mic, your phone, eight minutes of talking about the thing you built your business around. That's your podcast. The tenth episode will be better. The hundredth will be better still. But you never get there if the barrier is way too high before you even start.
